Overview

The Gosainkunda trek is a well-known trekking destination of Nepal dominated by incredible Himalaya viewpoints of Mount Langtang Lirung range. The travelers traverse through traditional villages until they reach the high pass of Lauribinayak dominated by viewpoints of the snowcapped himalayas. There are around twelve lakes in the Gosainkunda Basin. The important three lakes are Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda, and Gosainkunda. As showed by the Hindu mythology, the Gosainkunda Basin was created by Lord Shiva to chill off his blasting throat caused from poison called halahal, Lord Shiva struck his trident into the stone making three springs which is the current Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda, and Gosainkunda. Finally, Lord Shiva drank the water of these lakes and discarded the misery. This trek gives astonishing viewpoints of snow-topped mountains, wonderful valley and perspectives at uncommon 108 holy glacier lakes alongside conventional ethnic culture.

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche – 1950m (6 hour by jeep)

Day 02: Trek to Syabru gaon – 2200m (5-6 hr)

Day 03: Trek to Shing Gompa – 3200m (5-6 hr)

Day 04: Trek to Gosainkunda – 4350m (5-6 hr)

Day 05: Trek to Ghopte crossing over Laurebina La – 4609m (6-7 hr)

Day 06: Trek to Tharepati – 3510m (3 to 4 hr)

Day 07: Trek to Gul Bhanjyang – 2145m (6-7 hr)

Day 08: Trek to Chisapani – 2210m (5-6 hr)

Day 09: Trek to Sundarijal 1360m (3-4 hr) Pick up from Sundarijal and transfer to the Hotel

Day 10: International departure or go for onward program.
