Overview
Gokyo Valley Trek is a popular standalone travel package of Everest region which takes the tourists to a different world of Himalayan region. The Gokyo Valley trek is an experience to nature, landscape, vegetation and earthly status of real Everest region leaving out the higher altitude region. The Gokyo valley of Everest region denotes to valley of Gokyo-Ri and Gokyo Lake. The Gokyo-Ri is a small hill of 5,357 meters which is standing proud in front of Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, Mount Makalu, and Mount Cho-Oyu. This hill can be the easiest viewpoint to see the tall Himalayas of Everest region by standing as high as those high Himalayas looking straight at them not staring at the sky. The Gokyo Lakes lying on the foothills of Gokyo-RI hill are other landscape views seen from this high hill. The GokyoRi is one of the best place to see the full perspectives of Mount Everest beside Kalapatthar as the hill of Gokyo-Riprovies the 360 degree views of Mount Everest, Mount Cho-Oyu and other assorted Himalayas.
The trekking experience to the Gokyo Valley is packed with captivating scenes of mountains, traditional Sherpa villages, Himalayas and blue skyline. The photogenic scenes of Mount Everest and perspectives of its encompassing region can be viewed from the high hill of Gokyo-Ri. The other landscape perspectives seen from Gokyo-Ri are Khumbu ice sheet, Gokyo Lake, conventional villages of Everest locale and captivating scenes of snow masses of Everest region. The Himalayas experienced amid the trekking enterprise are Mt. AmaDablam, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nupste, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Kangde, Mt. Everest and the sky is the limit from there. The tourists while travelling in to the Gokyo Valley traverse through the Sherpa capital of Khumjung village experiencing the livelihood of Sherpa Community. The Gokyo valley is a jump into wild nature fused of rhododendron and magnolia timberland, antique Buddhist cloisters, conventional towns alongside beautiful nature.
Day 01: Pick up at Tribhuvan international airport & Transfer to the hotel. Overnight Stay at hotel.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla( 2880m)40 minute.Trek to phakding(2680m) Approximately 3hr. Overnight Stay at Tea house lodge.
Day 03: Trek up to Namche Bazar(3440m),Approximately 7hr. overnight Stay at tea house lodge
Day 04: Acclimatization day at Namche. After breakfast hike up to Syangboche (3720m) about 2hr. panorama view from Everest view hotel including Mt Everest (8848m)and hike to khumjung village(3780m), take lunch and back to Namche Bazzar. Approximately 3hr.overnight Stay at tea house lodge.
Day 05: Trek up to Dole (4110m) approximately 6hr. overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 06: Trek up to Machhermo (4470m), approximately 5hr. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 07: Trek up to Gokyo Lake (4790m), approximately 4hr. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 08: Early morning Day Hike up to Gokyo Ri (5316m) to see sunrise view and back to Gokyo. Approximately 4hr.overnight Stay at tea house lodge.
Day 09: Trek to down Dole (4110m), approximately 5hr.overnight stay at tea house lodge
Day 10: Trek to down Namche bazzar, approximately 5hr.overnight stay at tea house lodge
Day 11: Trek to down phakding (2680m), approximately 6hr.overnight stay at tea house lodge
Day 12: Trek to up lukla (2880m), approximately 3hr. overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu 45 minute and transfer to the hotel. Over night stay at hotel
Day 14: Departure to Tribhuban international airport by car or on your return day when you have flight ticket fixed date.
