Overview

The Mount Yala Peak of 5700 meters elevation is resided at Langtang region of Nepal and is one of the independent mountain of Langtang Himalayan Range. The Yala Peak is generally categorized as easy climbing peak of Langtang Valley and is prescribed for novice and beginner climbers to have a taste of mountain climbing experience. The Langtang Valley is one of the beautiful region of Nepal that is full of wonderful nature, lush vegetation, glacier Lakes, waterfalls, traditional villages, snowcapped Himalayas and beautiful natural setting. The Mount Yala is resided near to Mount Shishapangma of Republic of China which is 8013 meters high. The 360 degree perspective of Mount Shishapangma and the fluted Mount Gangchempo is seen from top of Mount Yala along with landscape views of langtang valley and Tibetan borders of Nepal. This mountain is classified as simple and non-technical mountain for climbing expedition suited for any interested climbers.

There are various ways to reach Mount Yala depending upon the choice and type of tourists who want to see the mountain. The most commom way of reaching Yala Peak is following the regular trekking trail to Yala Base Camp. The travelers take a vehicle ride to SyabruBesi and start following the trekking trail to higher elevation of Langtang valley. The travelers reaching at KyanjinGompa at 3800 meters rest at nearby lodge and guest house for acclimatization which may take 2-3 days depending upon the health of the tourist. The travelers can hike around the regions of KyanjinGompa to acclimatize with the elevation. There are some sighting seeing places like Cheese factory, hill of KyanjinRi, Lama hotel and others. After the acclimatization days are over the travelers climb more higher and make their first base camp on a meadow at the height of 4800 meters. The travelers starting from the base camp of 4800 meters start climbing Yala Peak of 5700 meters. The climbing upto the last 5000 meters is general climbing of rocky foundations and steep hills. The remaining last 700 meters to summit is a climb on the snow so the travelers have to use climbing accessories like ice axe, rope, crampons and others. In the end of the trip the travelers return to Syabrubesi and drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 01 :Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)

Day 02 :Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Preparation

Day 03 :Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m): 145 km, 7 hours

Day 04 :Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380m): 6 hours

Day 05 :Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3,430m): 6-7 hours

Day 06 :Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m): 3- 4 hours

Day 07 :Acclimatization day

Day 08 :Kyanjin Gompa to Yala Base Camp (4600m) 5-6 hours

Day 09 :Summit Yala Peak (5500m) then return to Yala Peak Base Camp- 8-9 hours

Day 10 :Yala Peak Base Camp to Langtang village: 7-8 hours

Day 11 :Langtang village to Thulo Syabru: 5-6 hours

Day 12 :Thulo Syabru to Gosainkunda: 7-8 hours

Day 13 :Gosainkunda to Tharapati (3600m): 6-8 hours

Day 14 :Tharapati to Timbu: 6-7 hours

Day 15 :Drive from Timbu to Kathmandu: 4-5 hours

Day 16 :Leisure day

Day 17 :Transfer to Airport for the International departure
