Dhaulagiri Round Trek
Overview
The Dhaulagiri Himalayan region lies 120km away from River of Kaligandaki on the western side towards the Bheri River. The Dhaulagiri region is bordered in the north and southwest by branches of Bheri River and is bordered in the south eastern region by MyagdiKhola. The Dhaulagiri Himalaya is the seventh highest mountain of the world with the proud height of 8167 meters above sea level. Dhaulagiri Himalayas was first ascended in year 1960 May 13 by mixed expedition group of Austrian, Swiss and Nepali. The world Dhaulagiri comes from Sanskrit language where Dhaula means white and giri means mountain so it is called White Mountain in local meaning. The Annapurna-I Himalaya lies 34km away on the eastern side of Dhaulagiri-I with Kaligandaki River flowing between them.
The trekking adventure to Dhaulagiri base camp starts from landing at the Beni Bazar of Myagdi District following walking trails on the banks of the Myagdi River traversing through farming lands, traditional villages, hilly regions and rough walkways finally ending at the Dhaulagiri Base Camp at 4750 meters above sea level. The travelers starting from Beni head towards the northwestern direction crossing the traditional villages called, Babichowr, Dorbang, Darapani, Muri lying on the banks of Myagdi River which originates from the center of Dhaulagiri Himalayas. The travelers can see the huge perspective of Dhaulagiri-i/III/IV from the French Pass at 5360 meters above sea level. Before reaching the Dhaulagiri base camp the travelers pass through French Pass of 5240meters, Thapa Pass, Italian Base Camp. While returning from Dhaulagiri base camp the travelers use the way of French pass and Dhampus Pass of 5155 meters finally landing at Marpha of Jomsom region. The travelers from Jomsom can either walk, take land vehicle, or air flight to Kathmandu or Pokhara city.

Day 02: Kathmandu city tours and preparation for base camp trek.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Beni (830m).
Day 04: Trek from Beni to Babiyachaur (950m).
Day 05: Trek from Babiyachaur to Dharapani (1,400m).
Day 06: Trek from Dharapani to Muri (1,850m).
Day 07: Trek from Muri to Baghara (2050m).
Day 08: Trek from Baghars to Dobang (2520m).
Day 09: Trek from Dobang to Italian Base Camp (3660m).
Day 10: Rest day at Italian base camp (3660m) for acclimatization.
Day 11: Trek from Italian base camp to Glacier camp.
Day 12: Trek from Glacier camp to Dhaulagiri base camp (4748m).
Day 13: Trek from Dhaulagiri base camp to French Col (5360m) hidden valley.
Day 14: Trek from Hidden valley (5200m.) to Yak Kharka (4930m).
Day 15: Trek from Yak Kharka to Jomsom (2,720m).
Day 16: Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara (820m).
Day 17: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu, evening farewell dinner.
