Overview

Annapurna base camp trek is one of the world famous tourist destination to experience Himalayas facilitate by deluxe lodging and catering in the foothills of high Himalaya.  It is every tourist’s fascination to see Himalayas from their focal eyesight which are said to be borders of world or where the human civilization end. Annapurna base camp is the region of Annapurna Himalayas which is tenth highest mountain of the world with the height of 8091 meters above sea level. They are the most remote, untouched, unspoiled regions of the world from modern day civilization and are the places of solitary ancient civilization. The whole Annapurna base camp region lies under the territory of Annapurna Conservation Zone of 7639sqkm which is the biggest conservation zone of Nepal.

The Annapurna base camp trek is centralized to Pokhara from where the tourists begin their trekking adventure. They get adequate rest for trekking in Pokhara city and they start their travel to Annapurna Base camp from Nayapul of Pokhara where all the city limits ends and the tourists dive in to the wild nature with walkways and passageways over the hills, mountains, forests, farming lands, rivers e.t.c. The every walking way toward Annapurna basecamp is a fascinating experience as the whole region is encompassed by scenes of white Himalayas of Annapurna, Mount Fishtail, Mount Himchui and others. The travelers pass through forests of sal, rhododendron, oak, and other species during their walking dominated by lush mountains. The travelers will come across the traditional villages of Himalayan people or mountain people who are called gurung, rai, Sherpa, thakali, limbue.t.c. The Annapurna region is famous of traditional gurung village settlements residing on it. It takes two weeks or 15-16days trekking days for regular and experienced trekkers but the novice and physically disable will take longer days but there are lots of hotels and lodges are found to get comfortable boarding so it doesn’t matter how long it will as long as the travel will be enjoyable. The trekking adventure can be done anytime during the year except in the winter and rainy season.

DAY 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
DAY 02 : Fly to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft), trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft): 30 minutes flight, 5 – 6 hours trek
DAY 03: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft): 5 – 6 hours
DAY 04: Chhomrong to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft): 4 – 5 hours
DAY 05 : Bamboo to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): 3 – 4 hours
DAY 06 : Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft): 5- 6 hours
DAY 07: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo: 7 – 8 hours
DAY 08: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m/5770 ft): 5 – 6 hours
DAY 09 : Trek to Naya Pul then drive to Pokhara: 6 hours trek, 1 hour drive
DAY 10: Fly to Kathmandu
DAY 11: Final Departure
