I took the holiday of a lifetime to do the EBC trek last year and, booked with Himalayan Friendship. The company was amazing from start to finish, taking care of everything so I didn’t need to worry, and could concentrate on enjoying myself. My guide was called Sangram, who became a friend throughout the trip. He had so much knowledge about the Himalayas and would be constantly teaching me about the traditions and history of the area as we walked.
The trek itself was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, every morning you wake excited to get walking again and see what view await you around the next corner. Nothing prepares you for the sheer scale and beauty of the mountains there, and the feeling of freedom & adventure.
Safety was always a number one priority, and Sangram’s vast experience dealing with altitude sickness helped many people along our route. I always felt safe and confident that Sangram was in control of our trek at all times.
I couldn’t recommend this company enough and hope to come back one day to do another trek. Don’t just turn up and book with a random travel company, as so many seem to be out to rip people off.
